Oberlin College will have to pay a local bakery $11M after libeling it as a rayciss bidness. In an effort to be as woke as possible, the Dean of Students publicly accused Gibson’s Bakery of being guilty of having a history of racism and being discriminatory. A jury found Oberlin guilty and assessed a massive award to the wronged bakery owners.

The back story is a balck student attempted to shoplift and was caught. A couple of the shoplifter’s friends tried to bolster the thief’s story by claiming that they witnessed the racial profiling. However, once the po-po got involved the krew quickly confessed to the crime and the truth came out. They subsequently publicly admitted guilt and the proper behavior by the bakery owner’s son when he detained the students.

Then Oberlin got involved and tried to pull the usual Lefty bullshit of “activism” and conducted protests and boycotts. The libel came in the form of flyers passed out by the Dean.

BOOM!. Verdict rendered and a cool 11 mil has been awarded to the bakery.

Who mentioned anything about people in power. That's a strawman argument if ever there was one. Now, before you pop a blood vessel in your tiny, bumpy five-head, it is known that the basis of racism, by definition, is a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. That's right out of Merriam-Webster. So that goes along with your statement about "you can't be racist to people in power." That philosophy is what cuts the line between liberal and conservative thought on the topic.

However, you CAN be a racist against people with white skin. Just ask the Irish or the Jews. Are you telling me they weren't persecuted? Sure, the argument goes back to culture and religious hatred being the origins of that hatred and not skin color. That's understood. But racism is defined by discrimination too. I have seen Middle Eastern shop owners refuse service to white and black people alike, based only on their appearance. I've seen black establishments do the same thing with Asians or whites.
