Some interesting results in this study.
Maine and Montana are #1 and #2 for "culture."

California (13) ranks behind Louisiana (3), Texas (4), Mississippi (6) and Oklahoma (11) for "weather."

Some interesting discussion in the FAUXBusiness discussion of the study

Seven of the eight worst states are, or course, run by LIBERALS!!!!

Why discuss something that has inherently flawed logic? The Top 10 "best places" to retire are littered with shitholes I have no desire to ever visit (again), never mind, spend my golden years residing in. And how did you even get your hands on a keyboard, did the geriatric nurse leave her tablet on your bed whilst changing you again? Old fucks like you shouldn't even be allowed to touch a TV remote, never mind cut/paste URLs that belong in AARP.com

Some good points to consider.

My feeling is California taxes are only going to increase, making it a gamble for retirement if the state goes bankrupt like Illinois. Based on similar political leanings, that's a real possibility.

How could anyone put Cali. at 13th on weather?

Pretty much anything within maybe 50 miles of the coast has a fantastic year around climate. Most of the rest of the state has a nice climate for a good chunk of the year.

Cali, IMO is surpassed only by Hawaii, in the weather competition.

This article, like pretty much every "rank'em" article out there, this board's excepted, of course, if full of shit.

In the write up they said that weather was based on "average daily temperature" (whatever that means) from the past 10 years or something.

So I guess they mean that the highest average temperature means the best weather, which doesn't account for high and low ranges. By that definition a place that's 35 degrees half the time and 116 degrees half the time would be more desirable than a place that's 75 all the time.

Yea but you have to remember that you are a stupid, geographically challenged POS that is more worried about your next Golden shower than the fact that you live in a shithole now

I am not running geography smack, you hideous leprechaun. I am running "I live in the richest county in the country" smack. Regardless of what you may find in your prison's Census Bureau (as Tyone pummels your dimehole), folks with even a semi-functioning brain will equate Northern Virginia with "The Mid-Atlantic."

But alas, you're a vapid fuckstain who isn't capable of understanding any paradigm that isn't binary. North & South perfectly describes your head's direction as it takes payment for services rendered in San Quentin, counselor. But that's NOT the only two options for geographic locations in 'Merica.

What I am lying about... the fact that you're a hapless prison bitch who lives a shithole of a state being overrun by illegals that will someday fall into the ocean? Or was it something else? And props on reading books, dude. When do you graduate from the ones that pop up and/or have pictures that you can color?

Anything else... or are you done licking my boots for the day, Pelican Bay Prison Bitch?

California is the Three Card Monte of states.

It's one big grift with shady people of no clearly identifiable origin looking to get in on the next big con.

It's like Times Square circa 1974, but with palm trees and substantially more broken dreams.

Nice "Civil War" map of the US. I mean seriously, what is next, you link to a map from the 1500s and you tell me I don't even live in America at all?

The last time I checked... we're in the 21st century and some of us humans, as well as this country, have evolved during the last 150ish years. Props on choosing to continue licking my boots, you one-eyed troglodyte.

What makes California suck is the leftist majority running the state in to a shithole

California tax payers spend 26 billion dollars a year on illegal immigrants and newscum wants to increase that by giving the illegals free healthcare now.

California pays the highest gasoline tax of any state. Californians pays the highest income taxes of any state.

The only way to retire in California is if you already owned properties in California and get a nice fat California pension. Like my mom who has a pension paying her over 200k a year and her and my dad have over 20 rental properties that they're paying 1980s value property tax on.
If you can't afford California any more, time to fucking leave. I heard that's called the miracle of the free market.

Or gentrification.

Take your pick, just hit the fukcing bricks.

You obviously haven't been to Northern Virginia since... ever. Most of my neighbors, and the people in connecting towns, are 'brown' and weren't even born in this country. About 1 in 10 people I personally know in NoVa are "from the area." Most are transplants from all over the country/world.

Heck, I am not "from here" --> up until 2016, I was in Boston. So what exactly is your point, Dunceland? I live in the richest part of the country where people/businesses are literally flocking to and you're sucking inmate cock in some 3rd world shithole that is being overrun by Mexico.

There’s something to be said about gleaning fit.
Frost had a good 2019. NU’s roster is extremely young, he turned over 75% of Riley’s roster his first year.
Plenty of fish still yet to be caught..he can afford being selective this recruiting cycle.

He did pretty good in 2017 too..CFL 13-0.

When I mentioned 2019, I was referencing recruiting.

I really hoped Frost would return watching Mariota and those Duck teams..he has a clone of that guy right now..

Really, the culture change and roster, while not glamorous..has kids that will be developed and not bailing for greener pastures..
It will take time, but the feeling here is not like anytime since the 90s..while that may never be achieved again, NU fans feel good about how things are similar to the old Nebraska way. Building with kids that what to be here.
Frost wants 500 mile radius kids. He’s been getting them.
We’ll wait and see...
