Why is this?

If gender is what you say it is, why doesn't the same apply to something as trivial as your given name.

Seems rather sexist to me. Why can't Bruce be a woman's name? What's so fukking special about Caitlyn? Dude became famous as Bruce. There are people out there that got famous under a name from a few husbands ago and they keep it. I would think the same would apply to your first name.

Every male must register for Selective Service to be eligible for federal education benefits or federal jobs. We may not have an active draft but the foundation is still there for one.

The correct terminology, Mikey, is that we have an all volunteer force. By requiring eligible males to register for Selective Service to obtain federal education benefits and jobs, yes, we do still have a draft.
