Let's assume 4 million dollars of U.S. taxpayer money is used to take care of the former presidents each year.

That is one millionth the amount of money Don & Co. will have added to the national debt by the end of his first term.

And of course the debt is slated to jack up even a lot higher than that in the years after 2020.

I don't necessarily disagree.

A couple of things, however...

1. The President of the United States is relatively underpaid, isn't he? He is in the highest office in the land (and world, really), he has responsibilities that exceed anyone else, and yet he makes a small fraction of the amount large company CEOs make.

2. So take away the office money. Let's say that is in the neighborhood of 2 million dollars a year that taxpayers are now paying, for Barry, GW, Jimmah, and Bubba to have offices.

2 million dollars is literally nothing in comparison to the 4 trillion dollars in new debt that Don and the government will have rung up by the time Don's first term is over.

It is like a guy with a million dollars giving a beggar a buck so he can get a donut.

There is one way to eliminate bribery.

Take away a reason to bride them.

So long as the federal government has the ability to pass any law or regulation it wants to, people will pay for preferential treatment.

Libs want the government to do more, but pretend that they can put people in charge who will be above showing preference to any one group.
