Why dont the Utah Jazz,and the New Orleans Hornets switch nicknames?

It makes sense. Jazz is a huge part of New Orleans culture,and Utah is called the Beehive State. And besides both teams sucked shit last year noone would really be appaled by it.

The idea actually makes some sense, which is why it probably would never happen.
I'm reminded of a narrative from the Trey Parker/Matt Stone pic "BASEketball":

Soon it was commonplace for entire teams to change cities in search
of greater profits. The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles, where
there are no lakes. The Oilers moved to Tennessee, where there
is no oil. The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City, where they don't allow music.
The Oakland Raiders moved to L.A., and then back to Oakland.
No one in Los Angeles seemed to notice.
