Yeah, I know, there's a music forum....
.... and about 3 of you fukkers and maybe a troll or 2 go there.
This shit is too good to hide there.
Was in Vermont yesterday and saw a poster for gangstagrass. I knew immediately that this HAD to be good.
This is yet another example of my theory that pretty much every style of music in existence is made better by bluegrass.
Fukk cowbell. Everything needs more banjo.

I have the All-Star Bluegrass Band's version of "Sweet Jane" on my iTunes. In college at the U of Maine, used to listen to WWVA at night. Could get that 50K watt clear channel station all the way from Wheeling West (By God) Virginia to Orono , Maine. Good stuff. BTW---anyone else catch the PBS show on Country Music last night?

Someone on youtube called it "hick-hop"
Youtube comments are usually great or incredibly moronic.

More hate for the mudshark Allison Krauss?
Buncha damn haytahs.
Her voice is annoying but I think it works for that song. her fiddle playing is adequate.
The banjo picker sings on another track and actually has a decent bluegrass twang.

They did the theme to one of the best shows ever on TV...

That was definitely a great show. For some reason I thought “Harlan County Line” was the theme song, but I see I was mistaken.

That song and a couple others by Dave Alvin were played during episodes of the show.
