Government procurement fraud

In the Pentagon, if you give yourself or your company or a friend a no-bid contract, you go to prison.
Trump did just exactly that by choosing to host the G-7 at his failing Doral "resort." Doral, in WPB, in July. Sounds like a blast.
Of course, nothing will be done to him because GOP tards think this is just perfectly fine behavior.
"WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE????" Suckaholic cries....

There are government contract which require a bid process. If he by-passed it, he would be breaking the law. Other contracts do not follow this rule.
Not sure you'd want an international conference to go to the lowest bidder.
Does this look bad, politically?
I suppose it does but at this point Trump simply doesn't give a fukk about that. He knows that those that hate him will continue to, no matter what. He's doing this just to stick his finger in their eye.
If there is a government agency in charge of squashing any possible emolument violation, they should step forward now and shut this down. If not, then STFU and get on with planning the event.

He wouldn't have much choice. If it is a federal law stating it must go to bid, it would.
But there isn't.
The emolument's clause was written for things like being paid an unexplainable amount to do something you have no qualifications for.
Trump says this will be done at cost. No other resort would agree to do that. It will be easy enough to see if that is the case

Good to see Trump saw the light and decided to not host the G-7 at Doral. Too bad Suckaholic put on his Trump lipstick and kneepads before assuming the position.

You're right, calling Doral a "resort" is a stretch. It's a giant pile of shit.

Has anyone important ever really gone to prison for it?
He shouldn't host it at a resort he owns. That's a clear ethics violation.
But Epstein and Maxwell both escaped justice, and Buck was allowed to continue to intentionally hurt and kill black men. Ethics are funny that way.
Who exactly are the Democrats putting up to counter Trump, who is more virtuous?

Annie logic--Trump hasn't done anything wrong because the Dems don't have anyone "more virtuous" than Trump.
And yes, important people have gone to prison for procurement fraud.

Hi S_M. No, it's a clear ethics violation. But it's hard to care about a choice of venue, when a one wealthy Democratic donor was allowed to rape 12 year old 'models' from poor families, while another wealthy Democratic donor was allowed to drug, sexually molest and/or murder multiple black men. Not all ethics violations are the same.
Show me Trump destroying lives for personal (and/or sexual) gratification.
And no, the Kurds don't count, because they are not the first ethnic people to be used as proxies by our government, then abandoned. There are three continents (four) to choose from on that front.

Your bias is duly noted for pointing out a liberal leaning fish wrap. A paper that has never endorsed a GOP Presidential candidate, ran knowingly false into on high school students, etc.
No thanks. I will stick with the Wall Street Journal.

Like most things, you seem woefully ignorant about how jizz mopping is actually performed. Why don't you stick to whining about Her's medical records. Because she's not living in your dome or anything.

If anyone would know the definition it would be you what with Trump taking up all your dome space.
And if jizz mopping today is reading others work and reacting to it you make my case for the continued decline of the profession. Newsmen from the decades gone by are rolling in their graves at what passes for journalists today.
