If Melo accepts his role as an off the bench player with 10 minutes or less a game, he could be viable. The problem is once he has a few good games, he's going to start thinking it's 2005 and he should be playing all the time.

Hard to find someone to sign a non-guaranteed, minimum salary contract to jump aboard a sinking ship.
