I've owned two Epi DR series guitars (a 6 string and a 12 string...and I still have the 6). They're alright.

How long ago did you get them?
Cause from what I understand,
The master built series is very strict with quality control nowadays.

Did you say they're alright?
That's like saying Raquel Welch had an alright body and an alright face.
Or.
Led zeppelin was an alright band.
Are you feelin' alright?
This plus your take that an endorsement from B. Hussein Obama is not important,
Has got me questioning your overall wisdom and judgement.
Cause up till now rabbi, I've held you in the highest esteem.
Just under 88 of course,
But still, being behind 88 is a serious badge of honor.

Calm down, numbnuts. I said they're "alright"...I didn't say they're "suitable for firewood".
I've had my Epiphone 12 string since '91. It was my first acoustic guitar.
I've shaved the saddle as many times as can possibly be shaved and cranked the truss rod as far as it will go before I enter Buzz City...
...and seeing as how it's not "high ticket" enough for a proper neck reset, I'd say it's served me well for the amount I paid for it back in the day.
It's final resting place is a mount beside my bookshelf. When I get weepy and nostalgic, I even pull it down to strum a cowboy chord or two.
