I haven’t read the article. We’re they repeated victims of actual bike thieves. If they were and the police did jack shut, it might be more understandable.

This subject brings up a question I have.

If such bating is done by police, is it any better?

One could argue that the punishment doled out by baiting cops is as bad if not worse than a little batting practice.
