So Rumps' 2017 Astros cheated their way to the title

Asterisk.
If you're not cheating you're not trying?
Everybody cheats somehow?
They were the best team anyway?
Houston, we have a problem...

Lol, get real. They weren't simply relaying signs from second base to the batter. They had an elaborate system sending the broadcast video feeds directly into the dugout where they then audibly communicated the signs to the batter. Astros bench coach Alex Cora begins to call the replay room to obtain sign information (illegal). Manfred warned teams in 2017 to stop using electronic communication to steal signs. And they did it in 2017, 2018, and parts of 2019!smackaholic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:27 am Hasn't stealing signs been something everyone tries to do since the blacksox scandal, maybe longer?
On November 12, 2019, former Houston Astros player Mike Fiers publicly alleged in an article published by Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich of
The Athletic that the Astros had engaged in sign-stealing methods in 2017 that violated MLB’s rules. The allegations in the article created significant concern among many of our fans and other MLB Clubs regarding the adherence to our rules by those participating in our games, and the principles of sportsmanship and fair competition.
Yeah, because they were stealing signs they won. Great rationale there you moron. If every team that stole signs and some how magically converted every stolen pitch into in play ball contact every time then you would be seeing NBA type scoring in MLB.Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 11:22 amLol, get real. The Astros stole their title and the Blo Sux 2018 title is tainted as well. Thank God and G0d the Nats beat these cheating pieces of shit. Can you imagine if they won again?
Ok, tiny tweaker. If it wasn't so bad why did not only MLB suspend them without pay for a year but why were they fired for these transgressions?Derron wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:30 pm Yeah, because they were stealing signs they won. Obviously you have never played or coached at any level.

This is not your goat to fuck as much as you want to. Have you checked the Fetzer valve? Come on, it’s all ball bearings these days.smackaholic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:23 am Now if you can tell me why a SD 7555i throws 0118 errors for every scanned item, I would be much obliged.
But you are the Board Bitch. 2 years running now by a landslide each year. I am just reminding you of that fact, since you seem to lose sight of it on a daily basis. You must love these day beat downs you get ,to keep coming up with all the supporting material for your well deserved title. You can try and deflect all you want, but the fact remains everybody on here with the exception of your two runners up, poptard and fiat sux thinks you are a tedious little bitch.Soy Boy the Board Bitch wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 2:55 am Says the guy who is always screaming bboty. Adding sand to almost any soil is stupid especially in western Oregon where he was working. You want to die on that beach too?smackaholic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 10:23 am You just have to love how the tiny lawyer (allegedly) tells people here about their actual vocations.
He tells Lefty how to fly planes.
He tells Duhron how to play with dirt.
Dude, can I have your phone number? I got an xray in New Haven that's got me and my company's product specialist stumped the last few days.
And it is in areas where even people completely ignorant of a topic, know the right answer.
All aircraft have a max safe landing weight.
1 dead engine is an emergency.
A light fuel spritz will wash off.
Some soils perform better if you add sand, presumably for drainage reasons.
He makes flat earf poptard look smart.

I get that you see no irony, because you are a stupid melting twat.Derron wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 5:36 pmBut you are the Board Bitch. 2 years running now by a landslide each year. The issue isn't stealing signs, it's the way they were stolen. We all understand that every team attempts to steal signs. If you are able to do so through study and brain power, then kudos to you. That's part of the game. But if you are doing so through the elaborate use of MLB technology, then that's pretty fucking weak, and you should pay the price. There is no intellect or gamesmanship in simply recording the signs by video then relaying the signs to the batter. When the hitter knows if it's a fastball or a breaking ball coming, that is a massive advantage. Go look at the home/road splits for the Astros the year they won the title and you will see that many of their hitters were substantially better at home (when they could cheat) than on the road (when they couldn't cheat). I don't think that was just due to home field advantage, which isn't a huge deal in MLB.Derron wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:30 pmYeah, because they were stealing signs they won. Why 6 years?schmick wrote:Ban them from the post season for 6 years

Still not understanding how the players, who actually planned, pitched and executed the cheating, are escaping any punishment.
Strip the Astros 2017 title
Ban the franchise from the post season for 6 years
No draft picks for 3 years
Lifetime ban for Alex Cora
2 year post season ban for each player who was on the Astros post season roster for each year from '17-'19 no matter what team they go to. If a player was there for all 3 years, no matter what team they go to, they can't play in the postseason until 2027.
That's unsportsmanlike. Someone's gonna get hurt. What's the penalty for intentionally beaning someone?Softball Bat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 1:11 am Wagon's Royals sending a message.
Three plunked batters.
The first two were rather ordinary, but the third one?
Hmmmm...
They didn't whip anyone's ass. They cheated. And they STILL lost to the Nats.Left Seater wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 12:45 pm Seems a bit childish. They are whipping your ass, so instead of continuing to try to win they just act like losers and start hitting batters.
Get back to me when they win the game and hit three batters.
