Guy signed up knowing what the prize was and/or not caring what the prize was. Was this a tie in with the NY State Lottery? Did the NY State Lottery actually pay the team for this in game advertising?

I think Dan Vogel is ripping the Knicks for this as opposed to the participant. This is pretty typical James Dolan, who has mismanaged the league's top market team into a laughing stock.

Oh yeah, I assume it was Knick’s directed.
It just misses the mark, which isn’t surprising. Had he made the James tie in and made fun of it that way everyone would have had a chuckle.
