So I promised some shots of the Mexico City trip. Originally it was going to 5 of us but one of the husbands got the flu and he stayed home. So I lost a drinking buddy and spent the long weekend with 3 ladies. Lots of markets and food.

Nice CDMX photos. Love that place. Very colorful. Love the markets everywhere. I bet the Polanco JW Marriott was nice. If it was as nice as the one in Bogota that I stayed at, it was probably awesome.

It was and not a small bone to be found. The red sauce and green sauce on each half was also a nice add.

Yes we felt totally safe the entire time we were in CDMX. Probably more so than in a place like Cancún.

You're right. Traditionally known as DF. I did talk to Mexicans while I was there. Kind of hard not to. And I don't remember them calling it Day Effay.

Haven't heard of any cases of tainted booze in CDMX like I have Cancun.

DF is pronounced “day effey” in Spanish.
You are more likely to have those kinds of problems in the resorts but it’s not more dangerous overall.

Why was it changed from Federal District? If people keep calling it the old name, does that mean no one buys the restructuring changes? or does it mean change is hard /citizens weren't asked their opinion?

Would the same thing happen to DC? or would DC remain DC in spite of future government restructurings?
