Professional opinions.....there have been a couple of lawsuits filed here in Oregon today on the Governors executive emergency orders being unconstitutional and the "emergency orders" are now unlawful due to an expired date under the state Constitution, and the Governor failed to convene the Legislature to extend such orders any farther past April 7th.
The Governor continues to pressure for closures until September for many events, gatherings and groups. County fairs cancelled, state fair cancelled, events in our local area, the nations largest quilt show, at least 3 professional rodeos, car shows, fly ins, drag and circle track races. People are in fear of the government and the various attorneys are filing these suits in county courts to keep them from state courts unless they end up there on appeal. Every shark around wants to be the one filing the original suit and certainly the appeal suits should the rulings go against the people.
I also have it direct from a elected sheriff that they are very cautious about any actions they may take, and have been doing extensive research through the Sheriffs Association and a couple of other associated independent to determine their constitutional standing on enforcing unconstitutional orders less they get their asses hauled to court, or sued for civil damages.
Where can this be expected to go ?
Discuss.

What really pisses me off about all this jack-booted thuggery we are seeing from Governors all over the country is the total absence of the ACLU.
You remember them, right? They used to at least pretend to be about liberty. We all know that is horseshit. They are all about a socialist takeover.
This is just more proof of it.

100% correct.
The ACLU, southern poverty law center, the "me too" movement, etc...etc....are all left wing government control organizations that have ZERO credibility with critical thinking honest human beings.

NEW YORK —
The American Civil Liberties Union filed a brief today with the Supreme Court in support of a challenge brought by Maryland Republican voters who are contesting congressional redistricting lines drawn by the majority Democrats.
“Gerrymandering is wrong no matter which party does it. The Supreme Court has a chance to rein in partisan manipulation of the elections process, which has blocked the will of voters in several states. Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around.”

Nice find. It's 2018, though. Is there anything Covid19 related?

From the ACLU website, their priorities in this crisis include releasing prisoners, protecting illegal aliens and access to abortions.
All Team D platform issues.
What I don’t understand is why more US. citizens who are minorities don’t get up in arms about all this spending and programs for illegal aliens? Why should illegals get such a large chunk of our tax dollars when so many citizens need help as well?

So the ACLU will pay attention to you, after you’ve been locked up for commiting larceny because you’re broke because you lost your job due to your company being shutdown unconstitutionally.
Wouldn’t it just make sense to give a shit about civil liberty from the beginning?
