I agree this is theatre, and has nothing to do with protesting police brutality. With the Heg vandalism, 20 to 1 outsiders did it -- same as the attack on the Glory monument in Mass.

Here's an idea. Just take down all statues. Balck, white, brown, gay, straight, confused, male, female, confused, dead, alive, young and old.
If someone wants to look hard enough we can find something that is not statue worthy in everyone. (See MLK as a serial womanizer as an example.)

Sure, but you missed the point. These people calling for the removal of certain statues are not calling for the removal of all statues of people with checkered pasts. They only want some statues removed. Should women rise up and say enough is enough of putting up statues of serial womanizers? Pull down JFK, MLK, Ali, Magic, Wilt, etc.

You think in 1917 Russia they told everyone they were going to be rounded up and murdered or did they start out by telling them only the Czar would be killed? Same with Cambodia....pretty soon after the revolution...all the teachers were murdered...anybody that spoke french was murdered...they murdered 1/3 of the people. Of course...it all starts with "we just want to take down the confederate statues"
