Another MLB HoF'er bites it. The spark plug of the Big Dead Machine dead at 77. Droppin' like flies these days.

Morgan was one of the best players of his era.

That Big Red Machine was one the best baseball teams of my lifetime.
Morgan, Bench, Rose, Perez, Foster, Cocepcion, etc.

And the '75 World Series with the Red Sox was one of the best I have seen.

Great memories.

I was on the BRM bandwagon along with probably half my friends during the mid-seventies.

I still remember the entire lineup, most of the HOFers.

Perez 1B
Morgan 2B
Conception SS
Rose 3B
Bench C
Foster, Griffey, Geronimo OF

Don’t recall much of the pitching staff, but with those bats, did it really matter?
