Balloon trips to see earth from upper atmosphere
https://worldview.space/
So this company is going to take you to the edge of space where you will be able to confirm the earth isn't flat. They expect to begin flights in two years.
The questions this will bring up are:
1) How will Softball and others explain this away and continue the claims of a vast conspiracy?
B) Can we crowd fund a trip for softball to go see for himself; and would he even participate if we did?
#) When his flat earth view is finally shattered, what will this do for his other Bible based beliefs?

Well, at any rate, I guess we'll find out the answers -----> in two years.

I didn't double-check this, and really don't care, but I think I recall Ken Ham pimping the globe.Jsc wrote:But who is the most famous flat earther? Is Ken Ham a flat earther?
But it is quite simple to verify that the bible does not present us with the globe.
Read in order...
Genesis 1:14-17
Genesis 1:6-7
Psalm 148:1-6
I wonder where the waters above the sun, moon, and stars are located.
At any rate, enjoy the balloon idea.
I'm sure it will work out well for you.

Re: Balloon trips to see earth from upper atmosphere
I assume I would not make it, Jsc.
I would not submit to the screening process they would require.
I would also not sign off on all the legal papers they would require me to sign off on in order to take their ride.
And would you cry if I told you that I lied?
And would you say goodbye or would you let it ride?

William Shitner (age 90) is being launched into space (allegedly) tomorrow.

And back in the day, what was up with this?

And now he has returned.
I guess you are adding him to the list of people carrying on the vast conspiracy?

It seems realistic to me that an overweight (obese?) 90 year old man was launched into space.

Please explain your flailing take. Putting untrained individuals in space hardly seems to be flailing.Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 12:35 pm

And a “publicity stunt” = successful marketing in many circles.

Blue Origin has flown two commercial spaceflights, but it's getting its ass kicked in the government contracting world by SpaceX. No BE-4 engine still, no DoD contracts, didn't get a big NASA contract it is now suing over, expose by a former employee about its authoritarian bro culture, no New Glenn launches, no initiative to launch or progress.

Jizz moppers for the win!
Bezos basically quite as Amazon CEO so he could pay attention to Blue Origin full time. There is nothing to inspire a billionaire more than being publicly humiliated by another billionaire.

I don't know what to think about Musk. He's a threat to humanity and clinically anti-social. But he's the most brilliant aerospace engineer (and salesman) in the world.

That's what I meant by clinically anti-social. I think it is embarrassing the federal government allows him to sacrifice lives with his "Auto-Pilot" nonsense. An utter indictment about how they prioritize the industry over lives of road users.

Re: Balloon trips to see earth from upper atmosphere
Musk is lying to people about his "self driving" capability being fully "auto pilot" and innocent people have died as a result. The federal government shouldn't allow Teslas with any sort of self driving capability to be used on US roads until it is proven to work safely and properly. It's really not that difficult. But you on the other hand idolize jizz buckets like Musk and think he can do no wrong so you support the federal government allowing him to do whatever he wants, no matter how many people die as a result.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.

Ok, I chuckled.

It goes back a lot farther than that. He and his famiglia were ripping off California ratepayers and taxpayers for $100s of millions before anybody ever heard of Tesla.Papa Willie wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 5:58 amNo doubt the feds should intervene on every facet of everybody’s lives, right?Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 1:15 amThat's what I meant by clinically anti-social. What a sludge-fucking, inbred pussy you can be.

As Kierland says over and over to you: Can you even fucking read? I said nothing about space.Papa Willie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 5:51 am Personally, I wouldn’t trust those things until the bugs were worked out. I think he’s somewhat a loose cannon. That being said, I’ve got no problem with him going into space. If I could, I’d go into space in a second.
Then again, I’m not a pussy like you are.

That’s because you will suck any corporate dick as some reflex action to your breadwinner getting killed while you were a child. It was sad for the first decade but your narcissistic greed wore pretty thin pretty quick.

One thing. Eventually something will go wrong on one of these tourist flights. If they don't have another revenue stream in place, things are going to get really bad.Screw_Michigan wrote:Blue Origin has flown two commercial spaceflights, but it's getting its ass kicked in the government contracting world by SpaceX. Excellent point. I'm sure Jeff has the best insurance to cover this.
