But I am also in a unique position that most of you will never find yourself in. My Dad was murdered by a drunk driver. As a younger man I wanted the asshat to die. As an older man, I realized that there are other way to satisfy the revenge feelings. Totally legal ways of revenge that don’t put you on the same level as a murderer.

I had a client who’s daughter (12) was molested by a neighbor in their trailer park. They went to cops, no rape so no DNA, she said he said so DA never filed it. Dude tried to put it behind him, but one day molester dude licks his lips as the daughter walks by. My client gets a 44 and puts one right between his eyes. Gets 15 to life mostly cause he told the judge he would do it again. His daughter hires me for the parole hearings and dude is still behind bars some 30 years on because he insists he did the right thing since the authorities dropped the ball.
