Hey, I got an idea. Imagine if we had a system where you had to show up, in person, with a government issued photo ID to vote.

Easy solution. Make voting day voting week. Mail in absentee ballots should be limited to those who request them in advance and provide just cause.

The fact with these cases of snowbirds filling out absentee ballots in their home state is that they can very easily state "I did not cast that vote. Someone got ahold of my unsolicited ballot and filled it out".

This is the trouble with mail ballots. Even when you do find questionable ones, how in the hell do you prove the crime? Call in a signature expert? Good luck proving it.

Mail in balloting is an invitation to fraud. It allows people to cheat very easily and it is pretty much impossible to prove, even when you find it.

If you gave the slightest of fukks about legit elections, you'd be for in person ID voting.

But you aren't. You care only about winning, by any means necessary.

There is no way to prove the fraud or prove guilt in cases where actual fraud is apparent.

The simple answer is in person voting, with photo ID.

Sure, but it is a lot harder to do, near impossible to do on large scale and when one actually does commit fraud, he has a fair chance of being caught.

Fraud is fraud. My guess is voter ID laws would catch/prevent fraud on both sides of the political spectrum.
