early echo and the bunnymen underrated

Post by King Crimson »

i think they get a bad rap being lumped in with a lot of synth-pop bands. they put out two great guitar records in Crocodiles and Porcupine. and Heaven Up Here is passable. Ocean Rain is more a great record of pop songwriting and studio sound than born of live playing. Crocs is awesome. 1981 or 1983 i think.

but Crocs and Porcupine are really underrated records. they rock start to finish.

sure, they turned into soundtrack fodder for John Hughes teen panty angst flicks. there was a time. anybody seen urgh a music war?
