Great to see. I am completely outraged that federal regulators are sacrificing American lives on the altar of Tesla and Musk with this "Full Self Driving" nonsense. Tesla kills, assisted by the NHTSA.

I refuse to buy anything associated with Ellen Musk. And it's not because of all of the recent, Twitter, political or self-driving stuff, though that reinforces my decision.
It goes back 10 or 12 years ago when we used to process applications for the California Solar Initiative, which paid utility customers incentives to install solar PV. This was on top of the federal tax credit, but the program ran out quite a while ago. Incentives were based on system size and installed cost, with the incentive being limited to 50% or the cost. I got a look at how Ellen and his family do business while following a lot of Solar City applications. They scammed millions from the program by inflating the reported costs of their leased systems. They were eventually caught and paid a big penalty, but that's just an indication of how they will do anything, legitimate or not, to jack up their bottom line.

As for Tesla and the bizarre idea of self-driving cars, it's been going on a long time. I remember ten years ago going south on 101 and seeing next to me a Tesla with an Indian techie sound asleep, head back, snoozing, as the car somehow rolled on with traffic.
