I don’t know about outing others, but I’m gonna “out” myself. The only reason I have a new nic is because I couldn’t log in as Sudden Sam when I came back.

It's a splitting hairs type of situation, imo. In general, "telling secrets," in this case outing a troll when you definitively know who it is because it was told to you in secret, is bad form and shouldn't be done regardless of who's being outed. Venturing guesses as to who's behind a troll, as Kierland did when he surmised that Booger was Papa Willie, is fine. Been done numerous times by many. Not sure what the nature of your sleuthing is, but if it somehow definitively shows who's behind a troll through means other than simply comparing posting styles or even through specific posts, I wouldn't post that on the board.
