The knucklehead who decided it was a good idea to run out on the field and propose to his honey has received a one year ban from Dodger Stadium.

What I want to know is what will the rentacop goon get?

Dude made a vicious flying tackle which could have resulted in injury to either one.

I am all for a little good ole' fashioned police brutality to people that have it coming. Had the idiot been running around the field, avoiding security, sure, lay him out.

This clearly wasn't the case. Security dude should have ran up to him and said c'mon dude, you can't do this. You're out of here.

He was being an idiot. He deserves a fine and a ban from the park. But he didn't deserve being physically assaulted.

The security guard should be fired. Assault charge might be a bit much.

The security guard's actions were appropriate.

1. Mr. Fan is a major league @sshole. He does not belong on the field, and he knows that.

2. In that moment, a security guard cannot be sure what idiot's intentions are.

3. Belting him down to the ground is the right message to send. It warns other idiots not to go where they do not belong.

You've been in Korea too long, pop. You are totally fine with excessive police force.

He should have been escorted out and paid a sizable fine. That would have been incentive enough to persuade others that they can't interrupt a game.

His flying tackle could have resulted in serious spinal damage to the idiot or a broken collarbone to himself.

Just learned a bit more. It was during the 7th inning stretch, so it wasn't even a matter of interfering with a live game.

Rentacop is just another frustrated wannabe tough guy. Fuck him. Fire him and charge him with assault.

The guard quickly snuffed out any potential threat, and he did it very well!

Not necessarily obvious. Dude could have been armed or on one knee getting ready to blow himself the fuck up or something. Rent a Cop didn’t have the opportunity to ask about his intentions or the advantage of hindsight like you do. His action was entirely appropriate.

It was close, but it looked like he avoided helmet-to-helmet contact. Clean hit, no flag.
