No tune this week.
I guess the hamster fell off the wheel and youtubes are
not working on chrome for some reason.
NOTE TO BOARD ADMIN - FIX THIS SHIT ALREADY!! INEXCUSEABLE. FFS!!
Seeing that the board admin gives no fucks about running a tight
ship, I give no fucks about presenting a proper WRC.
No tune.
No meme.
No flyover comment.
No racist/realist take.
No grill mentions.
No football takes.
Still scratching my head how the hell a grown ass American would be in
favor of NOT owning a vehicle, but not wasting time to talk about it.
Happy Weekend, Y'all.

Something to hold us over. Lemmy says good morning.
I’m a huge Beavers and Cyclones fan today.

We're "experiencing"' a local power outage this morning. Makes me thankful for our 24 carat 20 kWh backup battery. Everything works except for the pool pump, and the kitchen stove and microwave. The battery won't handle the 240V 50 amp circuits that run the electric cooking stuff.
Taking off at noon to drive to LA to see this group:
Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussein, Edgar Meyer and Rakesh Chaurasia. Probably not most of your cup of tea, but we saw this same group in 2019 in San Diego and were blown away, particularly by the flute player.
Bela Fleck is, simply, a remarkable musician. I've seen him many times with the Flecktones ("blue jazz") as well as pure bluegrass, jazz, classical, and different forms of "world music." Definitely the GOAT of bluegrass banjo players and one of about half a dozen performers who I will go out of my way to see given any chance. If you watch this video pay special attention to Zakir Hussein (tabla). He's played with all sorts of folks over the years with artists as diverse as George Harrison, John McLaughlin, Van Morrison, Earth Wind & Fire, and Mickey Hart. I wish I could find a decent video with a live audience because it's a whole different feeling.
Search Youtube for "My Bluegrass Heart" for some great Bela Fleck.

Yep. 7 Eastern/4 Pacific. Couldn't get Macy's to sponsor it, but it'll be the TT Thanksgiving episode.

Calm the fuck down Dave, or we'll send Screwy over to shoot you in the ass with a tranquilizer dart.
The crew is working on the problem of videos and I expect some progress this week. Your choice for not doing a WRC thread sounds like a personal problem.
You are a good man, don't let video players and arbitrary 3BB odds setting get you down.

Dave really worries about shit that shouldn't matter in real life. Unbeknownst to me why he would melt about things on a totally non-descript website.
I did nothing today, other than pick up my sis and niece from the airport this eve. Just got back from a biz trip to Florida and just wanted to wind down. They are here through the week for Thanksgiving, which I'm happy about. Thanksgiving day here will be chaos, however, which I am not looking forward to. I'll make it work with the help of the occasional Grey Goose cocktails.

Just got back from the show last night in Royce Hall at UCLA.
I've been a fan of Bela Fleck for over 25 years, whether it's "blue jazz" with the Flecktones, straight bluegrass with other GOATs like Jerry Douglas on dobro and Sam Bush on mandolin, baroque transcriptions for banjo and bass or cello, or any of the Word Music genres that he delves into, I will always make an effort to catch any of his shows that I can.
Because I made a donation to the Center for the Art of Performance (CAP) at UCLA in June, we were invited to a short "meet and greet" after the show. I got a chance to shake the man's hand and thank him for all of the pleasure he has given us over the years. That was very cool.

Nice. Got several Flecktones things and a pile of stuff with Bush, Douglas and buds. He’s a unique musician.
