Have we talked about Pickle Ball?

Played for the first time today and immediately fell in love with this silly game.
I figured out how to adapt my table tennis serve to the big court and had three aces in a row.
I hate the kitchen rule though. It'll take me a while to figure that out.

It's easy tennis and is more social than a real sport. They should be building their own clubs if they want their own premium playing surfaces. I hate how pickleballers can play anywhere there's flat concrete, including parking lots, but they insist on taking tennis courts instead. Screw you.

Rack this. Pickleball is for wannabe athletes who need a reason to wear their newest Under Armour sleeveless since they won’t dare hit a tennis court or even a gym. Merely a trendy hobby, not a sport.

I played USTA tennis for years. Had pickleball pegged as a “sport” for people who are not capable of playing tennis. Then I got hooked. The game is great. The skills to excel are different than tennis. A lot of strategy and anticipation. I love it. And I still play tennis. But tennis is not nearly as good.

If chess, computer games, golf, and bowling are considered sports, then pickleball is surely a sport as well.
And while I have never owned Under Armour apparel, I do welcome any form of physical activity that I can still do. Kinda. Yeah, I'm old and disabled, and hitting that ball is better than just sitting on the couch.

....and get ready for "Short Tennis"....Well they already had invented short golf - miniature golf so why not. Maybe short tennis won't drive neighboring homeowners mad from the noise.

Well, beach volleyball did wonders for the perception of volleyball in general.
Where does this leave badminton?

Nothing beats ping pong.
After a couple games, your shirt will be drenched with 3 pounds of sweat guaranteed.
The cardio is fantastic. Ever watch the Chinese national team play? They're incredible.

A lot of the longstanding tennis equipment warehouses are of course selling pickleball shit.
They now have specially made pickleball shoes, so that “players” have extra support and durability when standing around and picking underwear wedgies for consecutive minutes on the hard asphalt, before catching a breather.
