I love these documentaries. The new one aired tonight and focuses on the riot in Vancouver after Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup finals. Not much hockey action, totally fan-focused but pretty good shit, worth a watch.

And dovetails nicely with the Oilers trying to break the 31-year Canadian futility streak.

Has ESPN green-lit the 30 for30 episode Python: A Man of Few Words and Fewer Numbers?

Check the roster of the 2011 Boston Bruins. It's safe to say, two Canadian teams faced each other in the final and a Canadian team won. It is always this way.

Yes but completely watered down when a palm tree state wins the Cup.

True, happy to be wrong but put a few fulas on Florida. Oilers are just far too opportunistic, live and die with the power play and Skinner needs to play out of his head. Can see them getting a case of the nerves.
And can't see the Panthers repeating last years debacle, no love for them but they should stay disciplined.

Just watched it tonight, Biggie. Definitely worth seeing. Some of my favorite quotes:

From one of the Producer/Directors, “At the end of the day, we’re all capable of anarchy.” I call bullshit, but hey, it's her show.

About a half hour in, from one of the looters, “I’m a little disappointed, so the only cure is material goods and violence!”

More looter delirium, “At some point in the night, I was just like… I don’t want to walk away from this empty-handed.”

Paging Philly fan!

From one of the people doxxed and arrested, “The mobs on the internet were no better than the people in the riot.”

Sniff... sniff... [<--- Ellipses alert!] ... How 'bout not flipping cars over, setting shit on fire, and looting next time, Sweetheart!?

Good show. And rack Python [<--- insert slow children at play insult here]

I don’t follow a lot of hockey but watched some of the Rangers postseason and the word you used describe the Panthers is exactly what I thought when watching them— disciplined. Don’t think they’ll drop more than a game the rest of the way.

I don't think the NHL has ever had a team blow a 3-0 lead in the finals to lose. I bet those Florida Panther buttholes are puckered now!

Yeah, 1942 Red Wings blew a 3-0 series lead and the Leafs won the cup. Florida just looks completely lost. Last year's meltdown was so spectacular I didn't think it was possible to outdo, but it seems like they're up to the task.
