Do you support open borders?

This is a question for the posters in here who give the impression that they do not mind having our border to the south as an actual sieve.

If you in fact support open borders, why?

I'm not trying to be partisan here - plenty of so-called Republicans support it too.

If you do support open borders, how would you feel if a gang of strangers - doesn't matter the ethnicity - decided to camp out right outside your property for an undetermined amount of time? Would you call local law enforcement?

I'll hang up and listen...

It's telling that you deflect when given the opportunity to honestly answer a simple question.

Open borders and the middle class paying out the nose for everything. We’ll print money as we need it.

Pretty sure that is the Harris/Walz plan.

Oh, the topic…no, I don’t support open borders. Because I’m not insane. We have a system for integrating immigrants into the populace.

Biden/Harris: enforce the laws!

Why do you think we have so much money in San Francisco?

Why are you afraid of success?

Liberal policies has made San Francisco the richest city per capita in the world.

Once again, why are you afraid of success?

I’m not inter in that kind of “success”. From the SF Chronicle:

S.F. financial tech company valued at $855 million shuts down, lays off entire staff

A financial technology company has ceased operations after depleting its funds.

S.F. tech firm that boasted arcade games and hammocks cuts 100 workers

S.F. biotech companies slash hundreds of jobs amid restructuring wave

Intel to cut 15,000 jobs in largest mass tech layoff since pandemic

When did you stop beating your wife, Sven?

Same type of question.

And if the border is open why a couple of weeks ago when I was coming back from a LoCal visit did I have two BP vehicles pull into the N/B I-5 traffic along Camp Pendleton & do a traffic break that crept to the San Clemente checkpoint & then stopped until the agents started individually waving vehicles through? Why would they stop vehicles for inspection when there's an open border?

Less tech companies are a good thing.

Like any business if they can't compete then they need to lay off workers or go out of business.

These are good things. It means someone stepped up and made a better product.

I love it. I like high quality products and a high quality lifestyle.

It's a good way to weed out inferior products and companies.

Frisco is doomed like Oakland. In 30 years it will be pure slum and lawless. And shambles. M2 can crow all he wants but the path is set. If he has any property investments there he should plan now to get out and plan for his family to live elsewhere.

I love to call that place Frisco, as it pisses off the locals.

We don't have open borders, and will not in this century.
Stop asking dumb questions. This subject has been discussed
here at least 100 times this year.
If you actually gave a single fuck about border security you
be voting for Harris/Walz so they could get the border security
bill pushed through that both sides of the aisle support.
Well, supported, until the yam had his flunkies withdraw
support so he could use border security as his only real
political talking point during this election. Well, that and
crowd sizes.
Sven, your act is old and tired. I fully expect you to disappear
from this place about 6 mos after the election. He is the

Yam loses.
Yam protests about rigged elections all the way thru inauguration day.
You follow along doing the same until April or so. At that point,
America, even the cult, loses all interest in the yam. Long after this
board has lost all interest in you and your one trick pony.

'I Will Fix Things If You Vote Me Into Office,' Says Woman Currently In Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The presidential race reached a new level of intensity this week, as the woman who is currently in office and has been serving in the second most powerful position in the world vowed to fix things if people vote her into office.

The bold pledge was made on the campaign trail as Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been an integral part of the Biden administration since it took power in January 2021, promised to solve the problems Americans are facing if they vote to elect her.

"It's time for someone in a position of power to fix things," Harris said to her supporters who voted her into a position of power four years ago. "Whoever is in charge of this country has clearly done a terrible job. It's time to send someone to Washington, D.C. to solve these issues. If you elect me, I will make it my mission to fix all these things I've had the power to fix since 2021.

Funny. It doesn’t say where or when she supposedly said this. Just “on the campaign trail.”

The US “Open” is not in southern Texas, it is right here in Queens, next door to my very own 14th district, where I am a proud voter of Joe in the D primary, with a secret post-it note write-in of Kamala— Joe read my mind when he decided to step down (due to finally beating Medicare) and select Kamala as his rightful replacement basement. She will bring change to the White House in January (and no day sooner).

NYC is “open” to immigrants and asylum seekers of all races, backgrounds and gang type and we are a proud sanctuary city, at least up to the point where there were just too many asylum seekers to deal with and our amateurish mayor shit his pants and started blaming Joe and Kamala for a “border crisis” that was just made up so our rich residents wouldn’t leave for Florida. And to quote Kamala, “not a priority.” It’s still not a priority (well unless the polling says different, at which time I’m confident that Kamala will have a solution to fix it and simultaneously send more freshly minted dollars to Ukraine— two birds / one stone!).

I’m not sure where your numbers are coming from but, according to the sources I’m finding, there are about 350 million people crossing the border with Mexico every year, along with 90 million cars and 4.5 million trucks. Would someone care to define what the term “open border” is even supposed to mean?

Yep. Just lie lie lie. NPR said this AM that Dump told Volodymyr Zelenskyy in private that it wasn't true that he would give such a favorable deal to Putin to end the war if he was elected, and that it was "fake news." Gee, you gluttonous pile of human waste, can't imagine why anyone would be under that impression.

Psst. It’s a trap question. Avoid addressing it directly. But just so you know, an “open” border is a border where people can cross without being apprehended for doing so illegally or when they cross are released into the country without consequence for entering illegally.

Who cares about cars and trucks. That came from the same source as 350 million individual crossings per year, which obviously was my main point and you just as obviously ignored. Nice try, though.

And nobody claimed that machines are people, but the volume of traffic obviously is relevant as an Indication of the amount of commerce crossing the border. NAFTA and stuff.

And BTW, it’s your side that thinks corporations are people. Why not machines?

Stone cold sober here (goddamnit!). Just trying to figure out your takes.

1. Are you asserting that no more people have entered the country illegally during the Biden administration than did so during the Trump administration?

2. Are you asserting that it is acceptable for some number of people to enter the country illegally? If so, what is that number?

3. If that number was exceeded more significantly during the Biden administration as compared to the Trump administration, what should the consequences be?

4. Do you expect a Harris-Walz administration to be more effective at reducing the number of people who enter the country illegally as compared to a Trump-Vance administration?

No. A hella lot more people entered the country illegally during Biden’s administration than during Trump’s administration.

2. Are you asserting that it is acceptable for some number of people to enter the country illegally? If so, what is that number?

No. It’s never acceptable. The goal should be 0.

3. If that number was exceeded more significantly during the Biden administration as compared to the Trump administration, what should the consequences be?

The ineffective administration needs to be replaced.

Fuck no. The problem will get worse.

Identify the questionable assertions I made and I'll post support for them.

What was in that "recent bipartisan legislation" that was going to "handle it"?

In my opinion, we do not have an immigration law problem. The existing immigration laws are just fine (and if you disagree, please identify which laws you deem to be problematic). What we have is an immigration law enforcement problem. And that is bipartisan. The Repukes want cheap labor and the Libtards want cheap votes. Neither is enforcing the law and the entire country is at risk.
