Fuck it's hot.

90 degrees in The City. Could reach 100 plus degrees south of market.

110 degrees in parts of the Bay Area.

Should be like this for another week.

Thoughts and Prayers for people in parts of the Bay Area.

Wow. It got to 90 here and I thought that was hot for October 1. I guess it’s supposed to mid 90s for the rest of the week. Pool weather.

Suck it up.

It’s been 90s to 100 most all summer here. We’re finally getting a break lately.

Get in a pool or lake. Do we have to tell you guys how to do everything?!

I’m not complaining. It was about 60 this morning didn’t start heating up until about noon and not humid at all. Like I said, pool weather

I'm doing both. King is dealing daggers from the mound.

The Padres got King, Higashioka (the catcher) and three other players from the Yankmes for Juan Soto after last season, and reduced their payroll by about $20 million. King had never started a Major League game before this season. He’s had 30 starts, 2.95 ERA and 201 strikeouts this season. He’s done more for the Padres this season than Soto, who obviously didn’t want to be in San Diego, ever did.

I've never been on the Soto hype train. I do love to see the Dads performing better without that hothead.

Most overrated “generational talent” ever. He’s a liability in the outfield.

I gagged like M2 at a blacks-only truck stop glory hole when MLB was running three front-page articles a week about Soto. Get fucked, Yankees.

Where are my Antioch clones? Palo Alto, react to me! Vallejo, show me your Bolts! Oakland, do you have batteries in your pockets for the Niners game? Show me! Bang your monkey, call the show, have a take, and do...not...suck!

It’s going to be a hot one here in Low Cal.
It might hit 95 F here with maybe 30% RH.

I hope I can come up with a way to tough it out.

Do you have ice-cubes for that pool?

Why?

This isn’t Palm Springs.

It’ll be up to 82 in a couple of hours and then the solar will shut down.

That just blows my mind after years of competitive swimming where the water temp was measured by a thermometer strung up to the pool ladder & chlorine tested with a manual testing kit.

I still have a floating thermometer and a jar of test strips. Old habits die slowly. But I had new controls installed last year and I can control everything from either my phone or desktop. The plumbing is all 25 years old but still working fine except I had to replace the guts of the three way solar valve this summer because it started to drip. The variable speed main pump was installed in 2010 and I won’t be surprised if that needs replacing in the next couple of years.

Pentair is a good choice, Mikey. Our first pool had Pentair equipment and controls. Great customer service and warranty. Our second pool has Jandy equipment installed. It works fine. But it is difficult to find a certified repair service that will arrive timely, and the cost of everything is higher than with Pentair. When this system shits the bed in 6-8 years, I'm going back to Pentair.

My valves and actuators are all Jandy. They’ve held up fine and no problem interfacing with the Pentair controls. Everything else - pumps, DE filter, controller and a small heat pump heater we put in so we can use the spa when the sun goes down - is Pentair. These days you have to be careful to make sure everything is compatible. I’m loving the wireless controller. I can turn on the spa from anywhere if I want to heat it up.

Did you guys get hit by Helene all?
