Early voting in sunny FLA

The lines were too long yesterday, so we went back again today. The first time, the line seemed way too long so we went to the Apple Store to get Mrs. 88's iPad looked at (battery swelled up - its being replaced by Apple). When we went back, the line was a bit shorter. Took us 25 minutes to get into the room where the ballots are cast and another 10 or so to cast our ballots. Not too bad. People were respectful.

I do not know if this is normal. In 2022 we voted early and walked right up to the door. Maybe the push for early voting will take the pressure off the election day polling places.

What I’m hearing from people in the areas of North Carolina in particular, as well as Florida, devastated by Helene is that people are determined to vote. As inconvenient as it is, some still have no power, some boiling their water, the folks most affected by the storm are bound and determined to vote.

Liberal buddy in NC, who opened his home to 12 Hondurans who he hired to clear trees, says he sees heavy Trump leanings in his area.

He seems genuinely shocked at the intensity of the Trump backing. But he’s quite wealthy, so groceries and fuel being high don’t affect him.

We opted for voting early by mail after an election when we had to wait in obscenely long lines to get a ballot and another to get to a machine to insert it. Hope folks here will be against turning Florida into another California.

The Floridians I know LOVE their state. Just as it is. They’re happy. Their kids are happy. Happy, happy. Joy, joy.

And in NC, ain’t no hurricane gonna stop us…

Then no excuses when you get your ass kicked again.

Your facts are right, yet you still reach the wrong conclusion.

But you only have to wait about 2 weeks to see reality.

Even CNN is distancing themselves from the eventual landslide that will take place, as evidenced by Pooper's demeanor after the continual non-answers given by that insufferable cunt.

With the depth of hatred engendered by Trump, it’s mind-boggling that the best the Dems have come up with to challenge him in the last 2 elections has been Biden and Harris. What an opportunity they have blown to grab power for god knows how long by running a brilliant, young, sensible candidate. The Dems had a gift handed to them in Trump. Run a sharp, middle of the road candidate capable of compromise and building coalitions. They could have drawn the non-committed GOPers to their party. But no…they roll with extremists and freaks.

The best they’ve got has been Joe and Kamala?! Wow. Doesn’t bode well for the future. That is, if the GOP survives the Trump years.
