*L45 gets a provisional honorary mention only because he’s kept up his schtick far longer than I would have thought possible. Very impressive, my friend.

Halliburton:
Headquarters: Houston, TX, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Revenue: 23.02 billion USD (2023)
Dick Cheney Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.
Nice Military Industrial Complex example. 60% of the company's stock is owned by Institutional Investors, and 40% is owned by Public Companies and Individual Investors.

Please Sam, are you really this obtuse?
Just because Cheney came out against Trump doesn't mean that he is now a supporter of the Democratic party, or that Democrats all now love him. He is one of the most evil politicians of the past 50 years. He was part of a Republican administration that fomented and pursued a Middle East war, for their own profit, based entirely on lies and fabrication. He is not a liberal, or left wing or a Democrat. I don't "feel" any differently about him than I did before.
Seriously, what a stupid question. I was in favor of him dying a slow and painful death 20 years ago and just because he came out against your pinup boy doesn't make me "feel" any differently. How did you "feel" about him in 2003? It seems that about 100% of the Republican Party was on board at the time. I was not.

Wow. I feel like Mikey is right on the verge of understanding something important.
Dick Cheney cares only for himself and his companies. He wants a war economy that keeps his businesses flush with cash.
Cheney didn't join the Democrats because he suddenly had a change of heart. The Democrats had a change of heart that aligned with Dick Cheney.
He didn't change, they did.

Gosh, thanks for the compliment. I really respect your intelligence and opinion.
Cheney didn't "join" the Democrats, and the Democrats did not "join" Cheney. There's a lot more to politics and morality than one's opinion of Donald Trump. I don't expect you to get that but, if you listed 20 political, economic and cultural issues along with Cheney's opinions and the vast majority of Democrats, you would find disagreement on 19 out of 20 with the only commonality being their loathing of probably the one person as despicable, if not more, than Cheney. I get that your are a one issue voter, but not everyone is as blindered as you are.
Do you think Elon Musk is in this for any reason other than to promote his business interests?
I hope you recognize obvious sarcasm when you see it, though my confidence level is pretty low there.

ButTrump! Never gets old.
This isn't about Donald Trump. This is about a family that profits from war and a political party that has embraced war. Bedfellows, as it were.
Cheney always profited from war. That hasn't changed.
Democrats just recently added permanent war as a platform policy. That changed.
Hence Democrats moved toward Cheney.
I feel like I'm teaching 2nd grade here. This should be pretty simple but fukkenhell you seem to be struggling.

You people are really good with the strawman, aren’t you? The fact is that it’s not about Cheney at all, no matter how hard you push that argument.

It's about WAR.
Democrats are the party of WAR. This is evident in myriad ways, one of which is their alignment with Dick WARMONGER Cheney.

Mikey, to be honest, I hated including you and Chip, but it was a matter of guilt by association.
I despise Cheney snd his ilk. I despised him when he was in the Bush administration no less than now.
I know you’re not a fan of the man, but how telling that he endorsed Harris in the election. He is about making money and to hell with humanity. So his party of choice was naturally the Democratic Party…the party of war. Biden has been enriching his family thru Ukraine. Cheney knows where the bucks are to be made. The penultimate neocon backs the radical leftist Harris. Who’da thunk it?!
I’ll never be a Trump fan. I’m a Trump policy fan. Trump, if the left lets him live, will shut down the war in Ukraine. He’ll stop the billions going to the neo-Nazis. They may have to cede some land, but he’ll get it done. Or Zelensky can fight without American dollars and weaponry. Cheney will have to look elsewhere to enrich himself.
Does this end any chance of me getting even a few old Beserkley Records LPs?

Not trying to crap on your thread here, but I have little doubt there will be another attempt on Trump's life between now and January 20th.

No doubt. The far left’s penchant for violence is well documented
They will do whatever it takes to keep him from ending the Russia-Ukraine war, halting illegal immigration, getting inflation to a tolerable level, stopping men from competing in womens’ sports…need I go on?

As a still-proud leftist “centrist” I can say without hesitation that I voted for John Kerry and John Edwards in 2004, in opposition to that (former) Nazi Socialist George W and his very own Heinrich Himmler, the evil Dick (though he’s far less evil today, and about 25% of the Nazi Socialist he was back in the early 2000s).
Unfortunately that ticket of Kerry/Edwards— similar to the Kamala/Waltz ticket— was far too advanced and intelligent for the average hillbilly and white supremacist that votes in a national election to even comprehend.
In fact, I voted in the D primaries that year — just as I voted for Joe in the primaries this year with a post-it note write-in of Kamala as my second choice. And I voted for John Edwards. Never have I seen a politician so polished and intelligent. And he absolutely waxed Dick in the VP debates. I remember high-fiving Screwy that year in just how badly Edwards destroyed Dick. Almost as savage as Joe’s “You’re the sucker, you’re the loser” tagline to Grover Trump.
