Of course a progtard thinks he's unqualified because he doesn't have a dick up his ass or is pretending to be a woman.

Go ahead.... See if you're capable of articulating all the ways that Hegseth is qualified to be SecDef.

1. He's not "Admiral" Levine.

DING! DING! DING!
We can accept that answer.

Most jobs, especially ones that entail running the world's largest bureaucracy, require at least some relevant experience. But, since getting rid if "DEI shit" and licking Trump's boots is actually more important than overseeing our nation's military, he seems to be the perfect man for the job. I guess we'll see.

Have you ever had an actual take on anything?
No need to answer that. We already know.

I think most cabinet level jobs are where the Peter Principle reaches its zenith.
Granholm and Buttigieg etc. much?

That's a good point, but I'd say that Buttsy at least had some government and administrative experience. And probably a more distinguished experience than Hegseth TBH. Hegseth's main qualification is that for the past decade he's been Hannity light. I'd also suggest that the DoT isn't quite as critical a post as DoD. Compare Heggy's quals to Lloyd Austin.
Expect Sam in here soon to claim that Austin was just another DEI appointment.

He is an infantry officer with 3 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Has a CIB and 2 bronze stars. Also has a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard. Oh yes, he's not a defense industry lobbyist like the current mutant.
You aren't going to like anyone he selects, so don't forget to stock up on cocoa and coloring books and make yourself comfortable in your safe space.

He was a reservist. How much total time did he actually serve?

What part of three tours did you fail to comprehend? He's in the Minnestota National Guard which had the longest tour of duty in Iraq of
any unit in the armed forces. That was the deployment that Tampon Tim ducked out of like the weird chicken shit that he is.

None of these nominations mean shit really.
Either they won't receive approval, or even if they do,
the smart ones will resign in a year or less, and the
really smart ones will be fired in 6 months or less.

Gaetz just resigned his House seat (to avoid the ethics probe against him), and there's not much of a chance he'll get confirmed.
He and his forehead will have to find another job.

They’ve been talking about extensively using “recess appointments,” which allows them to bypass the Senate approval. They would be considered temporary but could still last a while. I think it lasts until the end of the next legislative session, which could be close to a year.

Gaetz is a huge mistake. Unless Trump is just fucking with everyone, that nomination needs to be rescinded asap.

Not being one who’s afflicted with OCD/GAD, I hadn’t actually thought it through as far as you apparently have. It just seemed like an appropriate fit. As to how Trump destroys education, I guess that’s up to him, isn’t it? To be honest, I don’t think education probably takes up too much of his considerable thought process.

If you think about the upper colonics needed in the DOJ, why go softball? So what if he's creepy looking...has that ever deterred a leftist appointment?
Waiting for Kash Patel to be handed the keys to the FBI...Lots of spectator sports coming Jan 20. Keep an eye out for Jan 6 "insurrectionists" on their way out of prison to cross paths with some Jan 6 "committee" members on their way in.

Phone companies dispute FBI testimony on pipe bombs suspect, key lawmaker reveals
Cellular carriers have told Congress they possess intact phone usage data from the vicinity where two pipe bombs were planted during the Jan. 6 incident, directly disputing FBI testimony that agents couldn't identify a suspect because the phone data was corrupted, a key House chairman tells Just the News.
“In the days and weeks following January 6, 2021, the FBI opened an investigation into the pipe bomber and attempted to identify the suspect by analyzing cell phone data linked to the area surrounding the RNC and DNC,” Loudermilk told Just the News.
“In June 2023, the former Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, Steve D’Antuono, who oversaw the pipe bomb investigation, said that the FBI received corrupted data from one of the cell carriers and that it most likely contained the identity of the pipe bomber. Given the significance of this information, my Subcommittee sent letters to the three major cell carriers, asking them to respond to Mr. D’Antuono’s claim of corrupted data,” he said.
“Every major cell carrier responded and confirmed that they did not provide the FBI corrupted data,” Loudermilk said.
“Additionally every major cell carrier confirmed they were never notified that the FBI had any issues accessing the data. This contradictory testimony raises some serious questions about the status of the investigation into the pipe bomber and about why the case remains unsolved nearly four years later,” he added.
Last year, D’Antuono told the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI did not a receive complete phone data from telephone carriers because some of it had been corrupted.
