So I assume Democrats will be excited, right?

Sure they will.

War Hawks in Congress still gonna get those fat donation checks though, right? Just need to fire up the fear machine and point it at Iran.

You are completely off-base.

I've read that the next place for the MIComplex and blob to spend money is the east pacific area, refurbishing and building new bases on islands to protect us from China. Lots of room for Haliburton and friends to prosper.

Um...Ukraine? Hello? Do you think it's going to rebuild itself? What we have spent on military assistance is just a drop in the bucket compared to what's coming when the fighting stops.

Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia With Long-Range U.S. Missiles
With two months left in office, the president for the first time authorized the Ukrainian military to use the system known as ATACMS to help defend its forces in the Kursk region of Russia.

President Biden has authorized the first use of U.S.-supplied long-range missiles by Ukraine for strikes inside Russia, U.S. officials said.

The weapons are likely to be initially employed against Russian and North Korean troops in defense of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region of western Russia, the officials said.

Mr. Biden’s decision is a major change in U.S. policy. The choice has divided his advisers, and his shift comes two months before President-elect Donald J. Trump takes office, having vowed to limit further support for Ukraine.

Gotta honor all those Biden family payments prior to leaving office. Also, fucking things up as much as possible for the next administration as part of the "peaceful" transfer of power.

Biden hoping to drag us into direct conflict and maybe postpone Trump’s inauguration?

Never mind.

“ Article II of the U.S. Constitution defines a presidential term as four years, and literally not a minute more. The 20th Amendment specifies the transition time and date as noon on Jan. 20. Federal law detailing presidential war powers does not discuss term extensions in the case of war. No emergency-powers statutes appear to allude to the possibility.

There is no precedent for an extension of a term. Previous states of war have not disrupted the four-year election cycle. The election of 1864 was held during the Civil War, reelecting President Lincoln in a landslide. In 1940, after World War II had broken out but before the U.S. had entered it, President Roosevelt won a third term, and in 1944, as the Allies were advancing towards Germany, a fourth. (The 22nd Amendment, limiting presidents to two terms, was ratified in 1951.)”
