I can see the argument that both the Rebels and the Gamecocks should be ahead of the Tide. Miami not so much. Shitty schedule. Refs saved their ass in 2 games they should have lost. But they are 10-2.

Tide looked like hammered shit against both Vandy and Oklahoma. Not deserving of spot in playoff in my opinion.

This is exactly why we shouldn’t have a 12 team playoff. A team that won 75% of their games doesn’t need to be in the playoffs. But with 12 there will be a team at some point that makes it in.

Says who? According to that metric only six teams in the NFL would qualify for the playoffs. 11 of the 12 FBS are above that criteria.

Defense is the least of Cal's problems. You both obviously haven't watched a single game.

Put it this way... if Wilcox wasn't the coach and Cal had an average coach. They would have a good chance to be undefeated. The last game of the year against SMU. Half the Cal team was out of the game due to illness and played the 3rd team QB. Who was playing scout team and never repped with the 1st ,2nd, or even the 3rd sting team.

Cal had a 35-10 lead against Miami. Then Wilcox goes into prevent the team to win mode. He tells the OC to run the ball up the middle on every play then punt the ball. You can't go 3 and out every series and not have the defense gassed by the end of the game.

Cal's problems are the AD and Wilcox. The players and team are so far down the list, it wouldn't rank in the top 10 reasons for sucking.

Cal fans have been trying to get Wilcox fired for the last 5 years, but the AD extended him 10 years becasue he's a fucking idiot and has no idea what the fuck he is doing. Cal's AD was extended at $1 million a year by the Chancellor for 7 years because Cal is Cal an academic school and she probably didn't even know the school had a football team.

To buy out those two idiots out would be close to $30-40 million. Cal has a new chancellor now so things may change. But it may take a few years.

Cal's never had a problem with having some of the best student atheletes in the country. Just look at the NFL.

P.S. I think Cal's defense leads the nation in interceptions. If it wasn't for Cal's defense. The team wouldn't have a single win this year.
