Bob Uecker strikes out for the last time. Dead at 90.

I'll miss hearing him on radio. One of the greatest to ever call a game.

Donnie Baker's Ghost with Death Pool points on the first day of the contest! Congrats, Donnie.

So if a pick died between 1/1 and 1/15, then no points would be awarded?

Not exactly. I consider a pick live as soon as it's chosen but with reasonable caveats. For example, if Marv Albert and Tiger Woods are chasing Erin Andrews in a 1995 Porche 911 and wrap it around a tree at 2am on January 1st, putting them both on life support, then picking both of them the next day is a bit outside the spirit of this contest. I might require them to live until the 16th before the points are valid, after a reasonable comment period among the other participants. I want the game to be fair so I reserve the right to withhold points between the 1st and 15th. I hope that seems reasonable. Let me know if it doesn't.

He was the press box announcer for the Cleveland Guardians in the movie Major League.

Famous line from the movie: “Oh my god, the Guardians win the pennant!”

Nice!

Looks like your boy is still on his way... even after the 5 star QB we picked up. I think it's cool that he stuck with you guys till after the season and championship. Seems like a good character guy.

This seems to be the unanimous opinion of most on the tOSU side. Buckeye fans are pulling for him to be the guy at Cal next year. Hope he works out and helps you win the ACC 8)
