I like the buckeyes in this one.
The fighting ethnic group has a great defense and are disciplined. Columbus needs to bring their A-game tonight. Or it could be a long one.

Let’s go with stud starters from Bamalama…
You could pull for the Fairhope, AL kid at QB for the Irish or…
The Buckeye RB from Pike Road, Alabama.

OSU, because they gave LSU Joe Burreaux a few years ago.

I am equally relaxed today. Couldn’t give even the slightest of fukks one way or another. I guess I’ll prolly pull a little for tOSU for my buddy 88.
As for the state’s of origin of the players, it does make sense that a few will be from Cali since about 1 in 9 people in the country are from there.
You do have to give it up to Bama. It has the population of a county or two in Cali. They definitely punch above their weight.

Nice drive. Damn.
Thanks, dcrm. I’ve been lucky enough to have watched Bama teams coached by two of the biggest legends in sports. It’s been a nice run over the decades.

Rooting for OSU here due to 88 and the fact that ND has a far easier path to the playoff since they don't play in a conference and can avoid a Conf Title game.
Playing the 57th rated schedule makes it much easier to get where they got.
That said, OSU also didn't play in a conf title game, so there is certainly something to that.

Hoping Lou Holtz won’t need a new ball cap after this one.

Someone let me know if the Doomers somehow locate their dicks. I’ve got better things to do.

Bugeyes obviously best team money can buy. This got boring quickly.
Does Ryan Day look completely fake to anyone other than me? I don’t know what it is, but he doesn’t appear to be real. Beard dyed? Makeup? Something just looks odd.
Congrats to the Buckeyes. Impressive bunch.

Nick knew it was time to get out.
With other teams being able to pay the players... his coaching would get exposed.
Smart move.

Missing what was damn near an extra point don't help the Domers.

ND makes this a game and has the mo.
Why anyone tries to run on OSU when their DBs seem to hold or interfere on every other pass play is beyond me. ND shouldn't run it again in this game.

Poor clock management here by OSU. They should be taking the play clock down under 5 each time. But after the first play of the series, they snapped it with 19 on the play clock. Then after the defensive injury to ND player, they snapped it with 17. That is 36 seconds that they could have run off of the clock and we would be close to 2 mins, instead of 2:45.

Cover zero and the all out blitz and you get beat deep? Why not press the WR off the line? Bet the ND D coordinator wants that one back.

Thanks guys.
This championship season is right up there with the others. To finish with 5 top five wins is pretty awesome.
Ohio State is pretty well set for this new playoff era.

T'was an enjoyable game to see but not hear. We had a neighbor come over as the game started who wanted to vent about having to put her dog down. We listened to that for about two hours. I do feel bad for her. I'll have to rewatch the game sometime. I missed whatever was being said at the time.
This team was interesting. Ohio State used its NIL money to retain players that could have gone pro after last season. There were only four kids on the team who came through the transfer portal. One was the QB. One was a RB (scored twice, I think). One was a C (out for the season midway due to torn Achilles). And one was the best defensive player on the field (#2 - Downs). The rest were recruited and stuck around to make a run at a Nati.
The Buckeyes probably will not be very good next year. They lose a lot on both sides of the ball, especially the defense. Ohio State has a big bandwagon, which is filled with vocal idiots. When Ohio State has a couple of losses, they will turn on Day and the program viciously. The thing I remember is that there were people who wanted Woody fired after every loss. There were people who wanted Earl Bruce fired after every loss. There were people who wanted John Cooper fired after every loss. There were people who wanted Jim Tressel fired after every loss. There were people who wanted Urban Meyer fired after every loss. And there are people who want Ryan Day fired after every loss.
We will savor this one. And hope we field another good team soon.

WTF is with the OSU defensive secondary?
Seems like they committed pass interference on damn near every play.

88, you should be glad your center was out. He never could get a decent snap to Milroe. An entire year and he couldn’t get it figured out. Cost Bama dearly.

Former Ohio State quarterback Devin Brown has committed to Cal, sources tell me. He was the 5th best QB coming out of high school and was Ohio State's backup QB this past season.

Quinshon Judkins, from tiny Pike Road, Alabama, finished with 11 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns, plus two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.

So does a NC excuse Day for losing to Michigan annually?

In my lifetime (which began in 1964), Ohio State's record against Xichigan is 31-27-2. And prior to the current streak of four consecutive losses, Ohio State won 17 of the previous 20. Not too worried about Xichigan. They've won 1.5 Nati's in my lifetime. tOSU has won 5.
