Fine French Dining in Wyoming? Why yes. Yes, of course!

Post by Rootbeer »

I got an invitation to a swanky french themed Valentine's Day Dinner at a lodge. For $120 I've been promised:

Parisian Decor lighted Eiffel Tower centerpieces, black tablecloths with pink overlays, and a strand of pearls adorning each table.
French Themed Music Let the sounds of French jazz and classic Parisian tunes transport you to the City of Love.
A Rose (per couple) a timeless gesture of love and appreciation.

A Gourmet Menu of bistro salad, mashed potatoes, beef short ribs, roasted carrots, and a buttered roll.
Dessert of Cinnamon Ice Cream with Warm Peach Pie Filling, topped with Vanilla Almond Crisp Granola
Drinks include water an ice tea. Or I can visit the Cash Bar for wine and champagne.

After my visit to Ft Collins last month where I enjoyed a stellar charcuterie board, I gotta laugh at my Wyoming friends. Look at that menu! Mashed potatoes and short ribs. What a way to treat your lady on a fancy night out, lol. And cap it off with some Sams Club granola sprinkled over Blue Bunny Ice Cream.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

Mashed potatoes and short ribs to all you rubes.

The Chef de Cuisine and all of his Sous Chefs will, amongst themselves, be referring to it as purée de pommes de terre et plat-de-côtes de bœuf.
