What is there to hate about making a Pope out of that undescended testicles boxer dude from the Olympics?
The amazing part about the movie is the other candidates are so bad, selecting the hermaphrodite sounds reasonable.

Lived next to a Catholic church growing up in Mobile, thus most of my buddies were Catholics. Half of our crowd has turned their back on Catholicism and become weird born againers.

The nuns were always nice to me, but whacked the shit outta my buddies, who were students under them. Even back then, I knew to steer clear of those freak priests.

Kind of, I guess. There was a thread of truth in it. The Church has trended liberal for most of my life. This is the next logical step but might be ahead of its time by a few popes. Soon though. We'll see it in our lifetimes. Well...maybe not in your lifetime

I haven't even heard of Spotlight, Diego, but a quick search tells me that not only is it not a hit piece, but probably a justifiable work.

Looking up Epicurus ... he obviously had access to the knowledge contained in the books destroyed in Alexandria. I wonder why his works were really lost. Maybe one day the Dead Sea scroll version of his writings will be found. Or maybe they already have been, and the elites are withholding what he had to say because the elites would rather hog the wealth that is knowledge than share it.
