You are a total fucking idiot.

If I were modding this forum, I'd click the X on this topic w/o a second thought.

Very true, but there is plenty of time left in the season to make up ground.

Mucho, I'm pessimistacally optimistic. Their pitching is old, they have a bunch of individuals on this team. There's nothing like back in the late 90's. It's a problem. Brown, Unit, Sheff etc...are horrible in the clubhouse. Then throw in pretty boys like A-Rod and there are more issues. Not to mention the play on the field is shotty at best. Old pitching, horrible middle relief. Bad decisionsin the off season with pitching. I don't see it. 200 million and they may not make the playoffs.

I agree with you about it not being the mid to late 90's, especially in the clubhouse. There are certainly more egos now.

I do see them making a strong push to get Clemens back in and hopefully a middle relief pitcher.

I don't see Cashman lasting past the end of this season.

Bad news

Clemens is going to Arlington.

Unfortunately, I do agree with you on that.

Buck deserves some glory because he did rebuild the Yankees before Torre arrived and he had Arizona on the right path before they won in 2001.

Mucho, it's not Cashman's fault. George is the one who signs off on all the trades and bad personell moves. Who decided to let Lieber go? Who decides to sign Sheff, Brown, RJ etc....? It's George. Cashman is a puppet as is anyone else in that position. George has gutted the farm system. George has made this team into a mess. George has gotten this team old quickly by trading away guys like Westbrook, Halsey, etc....Who decided to sign Jared Wright? Christ the guy had one good year. Pavano is average at best. Why not keep Lieber. Why not make a run at Benson, Odaliz Perez among others? They are a train wreck defensively. This may be a long year.

Upset Steinbrenner wants answers

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Looking for answers after a historic sweep at the hands of the worst team in baseball, an upset George Steinbrenner held a conference call Friday with New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman and manager Joe Torre.

Torre said it has become an increasingly rare occurrence in recent seasons for The Boss to include him in such discussions, but this was a rare situation.

I believe Laxplayer is right!

George is the one who signs off on all the trades and bad personell moves. He is like a kid in a candy store with ALOT of money..

Think of how much he has over paid for NAME players while over looking the "future players".

Pretty much. He (Georgie Porgie... Pudding pants.. went to clubs to see men dance) sold his soul for championship rings and has been struggling ever since. Sounds nice, but when you put it monetarily, it's bad. Bad, Jerry! Bad!! The Yanks had the best farm system for 7 years and is now among the worst.

Brian Casman has recently changed his name to Brian Twitchman.

No disrespect to the Yankee organization....26 rings entitles you to at least respect!

I hope you finish 3rd from this season until eternity!

You gotta prop the Red Sox and their management for taking over a crappy-run franchise owned by a guy who cared about the team, city & fans about as much as John Henry Williams cared about the integrity of his father.

This ownership & management is much like the Patriots group.
Granted-It took money...great trades, idiots with great skillz & attitudes, good coaching-decision making, farm system, scouts & team doctors... and Big Papi!

but man..
Thank GoD & g0d I'm a Red Sox fan!

Unless the Yanks turn things around (and there's plenty of the season left),
I can just sit back and say:
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! :P
