Has your lettuce come up yet? Have the slugs and rabbits left it alone? What kind of lettuce is it? Stir frying will wilt the leaves and you can do that and still retain a bit of the lettuce's texture by drizzling it with a bit of hot oil dressing as a salad. If not hot oil, bacon grease will do nicely.
