Today is pretty sweet.
Just talked to the OSU ticket office. I am all but assured two duckets to the Texas game. Christ, could September get here any quicker?

John L. Smith is probably kicking the hell out of himself now for leaving Louisville, he could be coaching the top not-so-Big East team rather than scratching and clawing in the 10. I'm sure Petrino didn't realize at the time what an incredible opportunity he was getting either. Funny how stuff works out.

Petrino knew what the situation was going to be, otherwise he would have left for greener pastures by now. Louisville has nice program right now and they will be the top program in the short term for the Big East, but Pitt is doing very well recruiting right now and you have to figure Syracuse will rebound and USF will continue to rise as well.

Huh? Of course Petrino wouldn't leave NOW. But no way did he know he'd be coaching a ranked team atop a BCS-confererence when he took the Louisville job three years ago. Louisville was just a solid "stepping-stone job" now it's a final destination. Smith wouldn't have given the job up if the first place if he thought he could be in a very winnable Big East.

Congrats Mucho for the move and the success of your program so quickly.

Here's hoping the success continues and you can move to a conference without such a fractured identity. The line up is different in damn near every sport.
