Post by Moby Dick »

While I may not put him dead-solid at #1, I sure won't argue with anyone who does.

If I remember right, you're fairly young, Mr. Dick. Props on discovering your roots. Hendrix was only about 10 years dead when I discovered his music.

As far as being the most influencial rock guitarist, he gets my #1 by a big big margin.

Haven't seen that documentary that you mentioned, so I dunno if they even covered how he couldn't even get a gig in the early days, due to being black. Hence, the temporary move to London, where guys like Townsend, Clapton, Beck, and Page used to stand in line at clubs to go see his shows.

You really just can't go wrong with The Great One.
