Punkbuster is an anticheat program that games like BF2, AA, CS etc.. use to catch hackers (script kiddies really).

It seems that a lot of hackers are now hiding their aimbots and other hack programs through universal shield which is not able to be read by punkbuster.

I really don't know much about game programming but is it possible for some of the newer game engines to erase the effectiveness of hiding those hack programs with a better written game engine? Apparently Americas army's current game engine is very easy to hack.

I'm probably talking over my head but I'm seeing more and more of this.

And for those of you who play BF2, hackers have infiltrated that game too.. check out

Doom 3 was fine initially when the punkbuster came out on the ROE expansion pack release (also from evenbalance.com), but recently, it looks like all of the obvious aimbot punks are back. Pretty obvious when a guy you're following in spectator mode fires the RPG at the wall in front of him, and it still hits the guy behind him in the dome. (BOOM Headshot!!)
