Western Digital 160 gig. Got it for only 70 Bucks new.

What's the best partition software out there? I'm going to use it to back up my four computers, I figure I'd give them each a 30 gig partition and have the extra space for whatever.

I still use Partition Magic 8. Works fine.

You have four computers? You know, turning the weakest one into a file server and even utilising the external drive on it is not a bad idea.
I'd run it headless, and just stick it in a corner somewhere out of the way.

Maintaining a server on site is a pain I don't want to deal with. MS server software sucks and is full of security holes, and I don't have any experience with linux servers. I outsource all my data servers so I can sleep at night knowing I don't have to make a call in the morning to a tech to fix something I have no time to deal with, not to mention being out of town a week a month.

I just want a back up I can use to reload what I have running if necessary. For the price it was a great deal.

Partition magic I have heard of. Wasn't sure what else there was out there.

Okay then...
...ever heard of Ultimate Boot CD?
http://ubcd.sourceforge.net/

It's a bootable CD loaded with tons of usefull utilities, including partitioning software.
There's a free partioning program on it called Ranish, and although I've heard good things, I've never used it myself.
Never the less, UBCD is something you should try out.
