Why is the US sending food aid when we know that little to none of it will actually reach the people?

More nonsensical foreign policy. I bet some idiot at State is arguing that without our food aid Kim Jong Il just might crack and lob a nuke at Japan or South Korea.

Essentially, though, it seems we're bribing the North back to the negotiating table. :roll: No wonder the North and much of the rest of the world don't trust the US and continues to thumb their noses at us.
