nebraska was physically bigger and stronger than usc, PLUS, nebraska had more speed at the skilled positions, on BOTH sides of the ball,

usc doesnt have a talented defensive back anywhere near the ability of a mike minter, usc also does not have a runner anywhere near the ability of an ahmann green or lawerence phillips,
