Bands that really suck
I was just in the grocery store--and the pre-programmed morning music always makes me want to go to the desert and self-flagallate and eat snakes.
Huey Lewis and the News. what did we so as a culture to deserve them? and always some Don Henley ballad.....

Dins, you're an old man. You don't need to be reliving tired teen angst tunes ESPECIALLY when they are as bad as Papa Roach. Just reply with "I listen to them in hopes of scoring younger, immature chicks" and be done with it.Dinsdale wrote:Papa Roach? Last Resort is an awesome tune to scream to when you're a child who is easily depressed.

rack. When the first Spiderman came out they had some power ballad featuring their ugly lead singer and some even uglier lead singer. Truly atrocious.Schmeck wrote:Of all the current bands that are getting some run and success, Nickel Back is the worst of all of them. Pure corporate soul killing bullshit.

RACK! Everytime I hear that butchering of "No Woman, No cry" I die a little inside! The Assassin wrote:Sublime(dont give 2 shits what you stoners say, they are unlistenable)
I'm sure the only thing that makes Bob spin in his grave any more than that is the possibility of Rita digging his ass up and planting him in Africa!

I'd really love to hear what some of you guys think are really good bands. Not that my favorites are being trashed, but to each their own.
Truly crappy:
Dashboard Confessional (I watched part of that unplugged special they had in which their fans basically sang along to every single song. Yeah, that's what I want to hear when I listen to a live set.)
John Mayer (Not really a band, but I can only tolerate one song of his (Bigger Than My Body). His others drive me absolutely insane and make me want to shove a fork in my ear.)
3 Doors Down - (Heard them on Stern and seem like really likeable guys. I just hate their watered down rock.)
Matchbox Twenty - (I love how Rob Thomas of this band said that his solo work allows him to hit edgier topics. I really can tell no difference. It all sounds like shit.)

Another rack. Sublime is great if you've never heard anything that wasn't on Top 40 radio. If you've actually heard Sublime's inspirations, you can't believe how horrible they are.Headhunter wrote:RACK!The Assassin wrote:Sublime(dont give 2 shits what you stoners say, they are unlistenable)
Good eye on Matchbox 20. That dude dances like he has to shit but can't find a toilet. Ugly awkward dude acting like women would give a damn about his ugly ass. Rob Thomas gets the gas face.

Sublime doesn't rub me the wrong way like they appear to do to some of you. They obviously saw the Crazy 8's play somewhere, and decided they could mainstream it. The thing that bothrs me with them, is that there seems to be some younger folks that somehow think Scarlet Begonias is by Sublime.

sin,
KC in college trying to convince east coast deadheads that "yet another" song was written by Woody Guthrie. or some hillbilly family in the Appalachians called "traditional".

Off the top of my head, I'd have to go with...
-Matchbox Twenty
-NickelbackPODStaindPuddleofMud (yes, it's all one band to me)
-Collective Soul
-Kidrock
-Live
-AFI
-Disturbed
-Linkin Park
-Dashboard Confessional
-Uncle Kracker
-Bowling for Soup
-Three Days Grace
-Toad the Wet Sprocket
-Sum41311Blink182 (again, all one band)
-And any other band that uses the inspiration of a 12 year old's AIM screen name for its name
Of course there are many more, but if ANY of you are even slightly intrigued by any of the above, you are a dork of unthinkable proportions. Also, I do not believe it possible to like any of the above bands and have the capability to drop anchor into a woman, unless she's really fat, ugly or retarded (sup dins).

And here's a blast from the past...
Guns N' Roses, from left, Michael 'Duff' McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Axl Rose, Saul 'Slash' Hudson and Matt Sorum, receives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for 'November Rain' at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, Ca., on Sept. 9, 1992. 'Slash' and 'Duff' have sued frontman Axl Rose for allegedly naming himself sole administrator of the group's copyrights. The suit was filed Aug. 17, 2005 in Los Angeles. First, feel lucky that you don't live anywhere near me, since I would pilfer YOUR woman, do naughty shit to her holes, and them send her home for you to bat cleanup. Of course, she hooked up with you, so this would do nothing to debunk my image as a tard-nailer, but I'd laugh regardless.
Second, some of you need some hobbies if one-hit-wonders are making your all-time worst list.

My only wonder is, is it reading incomprehension or poor short term memory?

Dude, I turn on MTV to find out what's up with LC on Laguna Beach and the next thing I know these faggots are singing like little bitch girls all over my set. I can't even watch the 140th repeat of Real World/ Road Rules Challenge 2001 without MTV somehow installing these male vaginas on my speaker panel thing or whatever.Dinsdale wrote:OK, they really suck. It would appear that Clear Channel and a bunch of Johnny-Come-Latelies are in your dome. Bode them.
I'm just not going to take this any longer.
