...a sorry-ass football team that was very overrated coming into this season. (If a team at 23 or whatever can be considered overrated...) Down to Ohio 10-7 at the half???

I may have to edit one of my picks this week.

Let's see...
Frankie beats Pitt...with a totally out manned team..
Callahan loses to Pitt...in Lincoln...with a totally better team..personnel wise..

Steve Pederson is lynched near a creek bottom outside of North Platte..
Could happen!

Rack Frank...
Fukk you Pederson.
Bye Bye car salesman.
No charges filed.

T.O. is elected Govenor. And implements power to appoint state's university policy and appoints His athletic director.

Thus the beginning...

A typical Frank move..
Up 10 -7... try a F.G. to go up 6 with the other team with 2 TO's and 2 + minutes... :?
Fake the F.G. or go for the first down!
Make them use a T.O. worst case... and leave them with an additional 15 yards to move.. or pick up the clinching first down!

Pitt certainly was overrated going into the season, but still, they're a much better team than they've showed so far.

The problem is coaching. I can't for the life of me figure out why they hired Wannstedt. I've never been impressed with him as a head coach. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, dude's career has been resurrected more times than Elvis, at least if you believe the godawful supermarket tabloids my wife buys.

Nebraska firing Solich to hire Pederson, as it turned out, was bad. Pitt forcing out Harris to bring in Wannstedt appears to have been even worse, perhaps.

I've always felt the same way, crappy. There was so much in the way of positive vibes throughout the 'burgh surrounding his hiring that I thought maybe I was missing something. Who knows, maybe he will work out for the better... the jury's still very much out on him. It's only two games. But to me, Wannstache always has and always will typify the ultimate in mediocrity.

Does this mean that Charlie Weis wasn't the bomb diggity in his opener against Pitt? It looked to me like a spastic chimp on crack could outcoach Wanstadt.

Domer fan has got to be pissed as the quality of that win just dropped like a freakin stone.

You know the INCREDIBLY sad part? Wannstadt was Pederson's first choice for Neb coach, fortunately he got one more year at Miami. I thought that was a bad idea at the time now Wanny is proving me right. Solich just BITCHED Wannstadt's using inferior talent and an inferior staff to the one Solich was able to put together at Neb.

Props to Ohio for hanging in there and pulling out a W.

That announcer who was feeding that bullshit on the tube was incorrect. Field goals are offensive points.

You get offensive points for leading a team in a statistical category.

Hey Bri,

I think the Michigan game made up for this, don't you?

And speaking of new coaches who were supposed to be the bomb diggity, how'd that season opener against West Virginia treat Robinson? Maybe now SU fan will finally stop drinking the Kool-Aid and realize that Pasqualoni wasn't the only problem that program has. Then again, maybe not.

I suppose I should come correct and point out the fact that in his second game, Robinson managed to shut out that glorified 1-AA program down the Thruway. Props, I guess.
