So, how was your weekend...........

Mine fucking sucked. Saturday started off with my college team getting beat in a game they should have won.
Sunday Denver ended up getting hammered by a much improved Miami team. I got beat in all of my fantasy football leagues.......my picks in the pick em contest were horrid. My Confidence game picks are in the toilet, my Survivor pick went down........
lets see, can we pile anymore on poor Felix's head?
On a good note, I was able to shoot a 75 yesterday and me and my bud won a best ball golf tournament. The depressing thing, we won a whomping total of $10 more than it cost to enter, and the gift certificate can only be used at the proshop, where you pay twice as much as you would anywhere else.
But what depresses me more than anything is having to wade through an endless supply of KCPaul "nobody can beat the Chefs ever" threads.

Don't worry EM. Your Jackass team just got unlucky. Any team would have lost to the juggernaut that is the TERRIBLE BEAGLES.
But hey, Willie Parker was just a homer pick.

If McNabb can score 50 points, it would totally turn my weekend around. I figure 4 in the air, 3 on the ground, 450 passing yards, and 100 rushing ought to get me close.

This douchebag secretary won the week 1 office pool. I was doomed from the opening coin toss.
She was 4-0 on the 4:00pm games. Unbelievable.
Now she is sounding off like she knows what is really going on. The rest of us are contemplating a gang rape.

Since I've got the Falcons D going tonight, that just might be enough.

Don't tell me, let me guess--in your league Willie Parker scored 16 points, while Tory Holt scored 89 right?

Parker scored 24.5. Holt scored 18. But you know more about my league than I do, right?
Dumbfuck.
No, the dumbfuck is the one who thinks Parker's performance was only 6 points better than Holt's.

mvscal wrote:They were both excellent performances.
The touchdown is about the only thing that separates them, so the score is proportionate.
125 total yards is not the same as 209 total yards.

You play in a league where a running back that goes for 209 total yards scores 6 points more than a receiver that goes for 125 and you're calling me a dumbfuck!?!?!
Classic comedy dude, you're gold........

The relevant yardage is 161 to 125, dipshit.
How many points did Parker's receiving yardage score in your league? Yeah, that's what I thought.
In my league at work the scoring would have been 5 for Holt and 14 for Parker. We combine recieving and rushing yardage.
Not sure what the JFL #s are since the live scoring is FUBAR as of 30 minutes ago. But I guarantee you I did MUCH better starting Parker than Red did starting Holt.
If you don't count total yards, your scoring system sucks.

mvscal wrote:They count, but are in separate categories.
I see you play in Runningback Uber Alles league that virtually ignores wideouts and QBs.
Whatever floats your boat...
No, it's not that WRs are ignored. We don't believe in giving welfare points to WRs. 209 total yards and a TD is a monster game. 125 yards and NO TDs is a good game. Your scoring system does not properly differentiate between the two.

mvscal wrote:Sure it does. 6.5 points is not an insignificant difference.
So in other words, if Parker hadn't scored, he and Holt would have scored the same amount of points?
Did I say your leagues scoring system was fucked up?
I meant it......

Great weekend:
-Steelers bodyslammed the Titans
-Pitt lost to the Ohio Bobcats
-PSU whipped a team they should whip
-Michigan lost
-Iowa got dryfucked
...yep, great weekend.

Compare 5 and 14 points to 18 and 24.5.
Welfare points? Holt barely even registers on your system.
Not realy. Holt had a good day for someone who didn't get in the end zone. But Parker scored AND had 84 more total yards. Your system doesn't even come close to giving Parker his due.
Why do you even bother with wideouts? Just go with 8 running backs every week. Sounds like a blast.
We start 6 position players. My opponent started 5 WRs. And he still has a chance to win.

Holt had 18 points and Parker had 24.5 with a TD. Take away the TD and he has 18.5.
If I'm wrong in my conclusion mvs, then point out the error.........

mvscal wrote:Yes it is the difference between the second highest individual score of the week and something like the 15th or so score. That point total also would have decided at least one game this week.
You don't seem to be grasping the logic very well. Let's try something more apples to apples.
Tell me, who scored more points, Clinton Portis with 121 yards? Or Torry Holt with 125? In my league Holt got 5 points and Portis got 4.
Your system makes wideouts completely worthless. Period. EOS
Wideouts are not completely worthless. But they sure as hell won't be posting the same yardage numbers as RBs who outgained them by 80+ yards.

No, I'm kicking your teeth in. You're the most argumentative fucking person on this board. The only reason you would back off from a fight is because you know you can't win.
So how did Portis do vs Holt?

No one cared the first time, you fucking loser. If you want to keep our attention, post pics of Patriot cheerleaders... preferably... naked. No one want to see your constipated father and your uncle Lucy.
