Ok, week 2 is in the books.

Props to At Large for getting all 10 of his picks correct. After last week of only getting 2 correct, helluva comeback. You are now in the finals.

As for you, buck_in_sc, sorry man, but I cannot calculate your picks based on only 9 selections due to your ritual of never picking OSU. If I had to make special rules like that for everyone, I'd be spending all kinds of time rewriting my formulas I use to calculate the results for me.

On to the numbers.

And the first installment of Beeyotches Who Waste My Time. This section is dedicated to those who have made picks in the past, but do not continue to make picks. The wasting of my time part is obvious.

Indy...I prolly said that wrong...I meant I was only picking 9 so whatever happened to that 10th game oh well...so that would mean I would have to hit all 9 right...in order to get in...i know your formulas calculate based on 10...if you would like I will start picking that game if tOSU is involved...I just think back the kharma I got in 02 by not picking the scUM game and qualifying on the last week and then watching tOSU win the NC...

I may not get it when it comes to UBB codes and variations but I can recognize my name near the top of the lists.

sc,

That's up to you. I'm not going to make you select a pick. Sometimes others only make 9 picks accidentally, but it will always be based on 10 picks. I just took your note to read that you would like yours based on "X out of 9" picks instead of "x out of 10". Just too much maintenance involved there.

Indy...Hell no...make it out of 10...i meant i was only picking 9...you guys do a magnificent job of running this and i certainly do not want anyone to have to do anything more than you guys already are...

anyway I need to get cracking...still a lot of ball game left, but damn it would be nice to already be in...

Always the bridesmaid . . . at least this year.

But if I can keep this pace up, that should be good enough for a berth in the finals. OTOH, as Frisco pointed out, Indiana is 2-0 right now.

Getting games right at the beginning of the season is like picking lottery numbers. You have no history to go with, patterns, strengths, weaknesses, trends, etc etc etc.....So yeah, I am saying it's basically

luck! :P

Luck... psshaw!

Winning week 1 is luck. I based my week 2 predictions on how the teams I picked for or against did in week 1. The best I've ever done is 8 out of 10, so I guess there was some level of luck on a few of the games. As I mentioned before, it was a great day all around, I had my first 7 games locked up prior to NU's game, so I was feeling pretty good. I got to go to the game for free. I got a little wasted. NU won with its on fire defense with three touchdowns.

All I've got to say to the haters is: :hfal: :hfal: :hfal:

HFAL,
Just thought you'd like to know that if you'd thrown just $10 down on your picks, you'd be $5000 richer right now.

If I don't liquor up Friday nite and edit, I'd had a 7.5! :x

Mdub mentioned me winning money on that streak. I have a hard enough time picking these without money. Adding money to the equation would probably cloud my guessing even more. After all, would you honestly have picked Texas to beat OU for three years running if you had money riding on it?
