By now, Red Sox Nation... I'm sure you know the numbers.

Mike Timlin had allowed 18 of 32 inhereted runners this year to score.

You DO NOT bring this guy from the bullpen during the middle of an inning. Up 4-3 last night against the Rays, 2 out, 1 on, bottom of the 8th, a lefty due up at bat. Not only do you bring him in mid-inning, you bring the right handed Timlin in to face a LEFTY??

End result?? Timlin gives up 4 straight hits... all line drives, not bloops, but line shots all over Tropicana Field. End result:

Sox lose 7-4 and are currently out of a playoff berth.

Last year, Tito was commended for sticking with his guys through thick and thin (like Millar) and basically made no strategic moves to help his team win. This year, he has young stud pitchers like Papelbon, Hansen, and DelCarmen. All 3 were available. All 3 sat and watched yet another Timlin mid-inning meltdown.

This year, Bellhorn had to be on the fucking DL before Tito would sit him, Millar was given until August (yes, fucking August!!) before being benched in favor of Olerud, and Timlin is still brought in during the middle of an inning when their exists much better options. Renteria has like 63 errors (he's 'only' been charged with about 30 -- nice official scorer, Fenway  ) and Tito sends him out there every day. Who cares that you overpaid for him?? Bench the fucking loser. Graffanino is hitting like .315 or some shit. Get him out there... somehow.

Way to 'stick with your guys' Tito. Way to 'let them come through in clutch like they did last year'. Newsflash genius... it's 2005, not 2004. There's no hero riding in on bloody sock to save your punk ass. Damon is hurt, Foulke sucks, and your bullpen is positively dreadful. Your team is done. No playoffs. Year 1 of 86 is complete. Fuck Red Nation. Fuck Terry Francona.

Oh yeah... uhm... Go Chefs. Great googly-moogly.

Point well taken dear, but it's not like he brought Timlin in with runners in scoring position with les than 2 outs. The dude was on 1st and 2 were down. In most circles, managers will call on their closer to get the 4 out save. If your closer can't get out of that then it's on the player and not the manager.

Tito has had many more instances where he could be called to the mat, but ain't one of them.

Did you miss the part where Timlin has melted down ALL YEAR when coming in with runners on base? Did you have your Tito blinders on when reading that?

YOU DON'T BRING TIMLIN IN MID-INNING. Dude has failed repeatedly when he's thrust into this position... and yet, you put him out there again anyways???? Did I mention the first batter he faced was a lefty?

The Red Sox may still 'back in' and get the Wild Card... can the White Sox actually not only blow a Aug 1st 15 game divisional lead, but an 18 game Wild Card lead????

You mean "not the worst", or "no, the worst"? :P
